Chesterfield Towne Center is one of the best shopping centers in the Richmond area. It’s also one of the biggest malls in town.
They feature a large number of major stores like JCPenney, Macy’s, H&M, Barnes & Noble, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Bath & Body Works, Foot Locker, Old Navy, TJMaxx, Ulta, Victoria’s Secret, and much more.
You can even get a workout in at Crunch Fitness.
The restaurants at the Towne Center include Red Robin, Basil Thai Kitchen, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
They also have a food court where you can grab a meal at Charleys Philly Steaks, China Garden, Chick-fil-A, El Mariachi Loco Mexican Grill, and more.
Chesterfield Towne Center also offers free wifi and a Children’s Play Area.
Short Pump Town Center is one of the best places to find all of your favorite stores in the Richmond area.
Some of the major stores include Aldo, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Apple, Banana Republic, Crate & Barrel, Dillard’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gap, H&M, L.L. Bean, Macy’s, Old Navy, Sephora, and Williams Sonoma.
There are also some great dining options at Short Pump Town Center including California Pizza Kitchen, Casa Del Barco, Cava Grill, The Cheesecake Factory, Chick-Fil-A, Cold Stone Creamery, Chipotle, Maggianos, Red Robin, and Starbucks.
As an added bonus, Short Pump Town Center also features a number of regular events and attractions to create an even more unique shopping experience.
You can hop on board the Short Pump Express, which is a train that runs through the mall. There are also special events for holidays, like Easter Bunny events, and of course, a chance to meet Santa during the Christmas holiday season!

Stony Point Fashion Park is one of the best shopping malls in Richmond. It is an open-air shopping mall. It features park-like setting with fountains and open spaces. It is also dog-friendly!
You can find many top clothing stores there, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s, Tiffany & Co., Anthropologie, Brooks Brothers, and Talbots.
They also have a number of smaller boutique shops like C&G Luxury Candles, Gnome & Raven (a wonder emporium), plus a number of pet service shops like Sitting Pretty (which provides grooming services, hourly pet sitting, and training.)
You can also catch a movie at the CMX CinéBistro Stony Point, which features the latest movies, a full-service bar, and food such as Baked Goat Cheese, Shrimp Florentine Linguini, Tuna Poke Bowl, Cheese Ravioli, and much more.
You can also find some great restaurants at the Fashon Park, such as P.F. Chang’s, Nino’s Italian Delight, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Winebar.
As you can guess by the name, West End Antiques Mall is the perfect spot for finding antiques in the Richmond area! It is a great destination if you are looking for truly unique, one-of-a-kind items for your home.
You can find classic items, as well as unusual, creative, and quirky finds.
They have over 250 booths selling antique furniture, clothes, books, home decor, jewelry, glassware, artwork, carpets, and more.
They also have a huge selection of Mid-Century Modern furniture and decor, including chairs, tables, and sofas.
They also feature an outdoor garden with items like statues, pottery, terra cotta, ceramics, fountains, pedestals, columns, and much more.
Village Shopping Center is a shopping center located near the University of Richmond.
It primarily features grocery stores (including Publix), pharmacies (CVS), banks, and dining options, including Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwich, Blue Cow Ice Cream, Ginger Juice, and Jing Sushi.
Willow Lawn has a wide variety of different shopping options, ranging from food to grocery stores, retail shops, and even a gym!
Some of the shops include Bath & Body Works, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Michael’s, Old Navy, and Ross.
The food options include CAVA, &pizza, Chick-Fil-A, Chopt, IHOP, Ledo Pizza & Pasta, Starbuck’s Coffee, and Yoshi Sushi.
You can also find a Kroger grocery store and a Golds Gym.
River Road Shopping Center has an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.
Some of their unique shops include Kellogg Collection (for home goods), Frances Kahn (a women’s boutique store), and Scout and Molly’s (another women’s boutique store). You can also find Talbots and Orvis.
You can find Mosaic Restaurant, which is open for Happy Hour, Lunch, Dinner, and Sunday Brunch.
The shopping center is also home to the Italian restaurant Azzurro Ristorante, where you can find classic Italian dishes like Mozzarella Prosciutto, Se Scallops Gorgonzola, Farflle al Vodka, Rigatoni al Norma, and Ravioli al Porchini, plus Brick-Oven Pizza.
The Shops at 5807 is your destination for more eclectic and unusual shops. There are more than 30 shops to explore. The cute and cool shops tend to focus on home decor, accessories, art, and jewelry.
Some of the shops include Accents (for home decor), Antique Boutique (for antiques, fine art, heirloom jewelry, stained glass, and more), Frillseekers (for gifts and accessories), RVYayToys (for unique and classic toys), The Kitchen Sink (for kitchen accessories), and much more.
West Broad Village is located a little further outside of Richmond in Glen Allen, VA. They features a lot of major stores, though, which makes it a great shopping destination.
For retail shops, you can find major stores like Home Goods, REI, and Whole Foods Market.
For dining, you can find Bonefish Grill (a favorite of mine for great seafood!), Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Burger Bach, and Chuy’s.
For snacks and grab-and-go food options, you can check out Juice Bar and Ray’s Italian Water Ice and Frozen Custard.
You can also find a number of salons and spas, as well as ACAC Fitness and Wellness.
Westchester Commons Shopping Center is located in Midlothian, VA, which is about 20 miles west of downtown Richmond.
The shopping center has something for just about everyone, including a large number of restaurants, a gym, and a movie theater.
As an added bonus, you can also sign up for the Shoppers Perks Card. The card is free to get, and it will get you discounts to participating retailers, plus a chance to win prizes!
The shopping center is home to a number of diverse retailers, including Potomac River Run and Walk (a favorite place where I go to buy my running shoes!), Books A Million, OfficeMax, Petco, and Target.
Westchester Commons Shopping Center is also home to a wide variety of different food options.
You can find just about anything you might be in the mood for, including Chick-Fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dominic’s Italian Grille, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, McAlister’s Deli, Noodles World Kitchen, Starbucks, Sweet Frog Premium Frozen Yogurt, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
There is also a Gold’s Gym and a Hair Cuttery at the shopping center, plus a Regal Cinema.
Regency Square (also called Regency Mall) is another great shopping destination in Richmond.
Some of the stores include Foot Locker, Phoenix Boutique (a family-owned business that specializes in jewelry), and Tee Zone (which sells customized t-shirts, sweatshirts, pullover hoodies, and more).
For food, you can stop by Panera Bread, Starbucks, and Chipotle.
The mall also has a lot more service-based shops, such as hair salons, spas, and a yoga studio.
Williamsburg Premium Outlets is located about 47 miles southeast of Richmond down I-64. It is about halfway between Richmond and Williamsburg.
Though it’s a bit further out of town, Williamsburg Premium Outlets is the best outlet mall near Richmond.
You’ll find many top stores at affordable prices. Some of the shops include Adidas, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Bath & Body Works, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Coach, Cole Hahn, Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Gap, J. Crew, Kate Spade, Oakley, Pandora, Svarski, The North Face, Under Armor, and much more.
Food options include Alewerks Brewing Company (a local Virginia brewery!), Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Miyaki Sushi and Grill, and Subway.
They even have a Food Lion where you can take care of all of your grocery shopping.
Southpark Mall is also located a little further outside of Richmond. It is about 23 miles south of downtown Richmond near Petersburg, VA.
You can find many major retailers at the mall, including Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, JCPenney, The Children’s Place, American Ealge, H&M, Foot Locker, and Zales.
You also have a lot of food options, including Chick-Fil-A, IHOP, Sbarro, and Stir Fry 88.
There is also a movie theater at the mall, plus a Planet Fitness.
