St. George Brewing Company actually got its start in 1998 in Virginia Beach. It is now one of the top spots for great beer in Hampton, VA. It is also one of the first micro-breweries in Virginia.
Their year-long beers on tap include an English IPA, Golden Ale, Nut Brown Ale, Pilsner, and Honey Meade Lager.
They also feature seasonal beers, such as Oktoberfest, Slumbering Dragon (Scotch Ale), and Hibiscus Pale Ale in fall.
Their specialty beers include Raging Goats Imperial Amber Bock, Dragon’s Fury (Double IPA), Hazy Dragon IPA, and Russian Imperial Stout.

A special bonus of the brewery is that they have their own Apiary on the property. Here they have bee hives that support the local bee population. The brewery’s Honey Meade Lager was made from the honey in the hives!
The brewery has several indoor seating in their taproom, as well as outdoor space, including a tented patio that is open year-round.

Bold Mariner Brewing Company was founded by a Navy veteran. It is located about 10 miles southeast of Hampton in nearby Norfolk, VA. It is near the coast not far from the Chesapeake Bay.
The brewery features a list of Pilsners, IPAs, and Lagers on tap. They also have a Sour-Fruited Gose with dragonfruit, guava, and pineapple. They also feature some unique and tasty brews such as the Noser (brown ale with pecans and vanilla), and they have a special strawberry cider.

Pleasure House Brewing is located a little further afield in Virginia Beach, about a 30-minute drive southeast of Hampton. The brewery is a local favorite and prides itself on a fun and social atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
The brewery focuses on small-batch brews. They also frequently rotate their beers, so you are likely to find completely different brews on tap with every visit.
Some of their most popular beers include Glo (a Belgian Style Blond Ale), Liquid Communication (a Belgian Tripel), and O’Brien Clan (Irish Red).
