Virginia is home to over 300 wineries. One of my favorite weekend activities is to visit some of the local wineries with friends, and with my friends’ dogs! We often bring our furry friends to enjoy a picnic and a flight of our favorite reds and whites!
Many Virginia wineries are dog-friendly. Some wineries only allow dogs outside, while others allow dogs both inside and outside, which can be especially great when visiting wineries in colder weather or rainy weather.
When trying to find out ahead of time if a winery is dog-friendly, there are two resources I recommend. You can check out the dog policy on the winery’s website to see if they are dog-friendly. They may have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section or a “Visit Us” section that includes this information.
Another great resource is Bring Fido, which has information about dog-friendly wineries, hotels, restaurants, and more!
Below is my ultimate guide to the best dog-friendly wineries in Virginia. I’ve broken down the list by region to help you plan your next winery tour with your four-legged friends!
Please note that the below list doesn’t include all dog-friendly wineries in Virginia, but I will be adding to the list on a regular basis!
