Virginia Beach is a major vacation destination on the east coast of Virginia. It is located in the southeastern Tidewater region of the state. It is not far from other major cities in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, including Norfolk, Newport News, Hampton, and Williamsburg.

Virginia Beach is 107 miles from Richmond, 177 miles from Charlottesville, and 201 miles from Northern Virginia.

Virginia Beach is naturally a popular spot for beach vacations and other great water activities. There are a number of great boat tours and dolphin tours in the area.

There are also many excellent wineries serving fine Virginia wines, which makes it a great destination for wine lovers.
